Softball in Italy
A destination like Italy is one that needs little in the way of introduction. When Italy comes to mind, we think of culture, food, wine, history, fashion, and the beautiful landscape the country has to offer. With many amateur leagues sprouting all around the country, softball is growing in popularity across Italy!
Northern Italy: Milan and Venice
The fashionable city of Milan is the largest and most populated city in Italy. With famous luxury car manufactures such as Lamborghini and Ferrari nearby, as well as many shopping centers, Milan is worth the visit. Only a few hours west lies the beautiful city of Venice which consists of 117 bodies of land connected by more than 400 bridges crossing its 150 canals. Milan, Venice, and surrounding cities along the north of Italy are loaded with competitive softball teams of all levels.
Central Italy: Rome, Florence, Tuscany
Here you will find one the most visited destinations in the world. Rome is the country's capital and the heart of one of history's greatest empires. Must visit sights include the Colosseum, Pantheon, and St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican. Excursions north of Rome will take you to popular cities like Tuscany and Florence, discovering charming hill-top towns along the way like Perugia and Assisi. South of Rome will take you the famous city of Naples, the birthplace of pizza.
AM: Experience the glory and history of Rome with visits to popular spots including: the Coliseum, Roman Forum, Foro Trajano, Bath of Caracalla the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Campo de' Fiori, Piazza Navona, Piazza del Popolo, and the Villa Borghese gardens.
PM: Begin your evening with your first game against a Roman team. After the game, explore your own interests in Rome and rejuvenate for the next day of adventures.

AM: Enjoy breakfast in Rome before heading to the Vatican for a guided tour.
PM: (11:00-5:00) Experience a guided tour of the Vatican by visting the Sistine Chapel and the Vatican Museums which will include the Pio Clementino, the Raphael Rooms, the Gallery of the Candelabra, and the world famous St. Peter's Basilica.

AM: Travel only a few hours north to Assisi. Complete the morning with a brunch and check into local hotel.
PM: Enjoy a guided tour of Assisi with stops at San Damiano, Santa Maria degli Angeli, Rocca Maggiore and the breathtaking view of the entire city from the Basilica di San Francesco. Throughout the day, experience the sheer beauty of Italy's rolling hills.
